David Beckham's illustrious career's Pictorial Journey
Being a part of Galaxy, Beckham went to AC Milan on loan twice. He along with the likes of Ronaldinho, Andriy Shevchenko and Andrea Pirlo played a pivotal role in Milan lifting the 2010 Serie A title.
Beckham switched to LA Galaxy in 2007, which marked the first instance when a proper football player, much less Beckham moved to the US. His stint, however ended in success for the team as Galaxy won the MLS Cup in 2012.
After spending a decade at United, Beckham moved to Spain and joined Real Madrid in 2003. He spent four years in Madrid and the start-studded team won the La Liga title in his last season.
The powerful duo of Beckham and Ferguson paid rich divedends for United. However, their relationship began to deteriorate. In 2003, following a loss to Arsenal, Ferguson threw a boot that caught Beckham over his eye causing a bleeding cut.
Beckham's heriocs in the game got him to a celebrity stature outside the football ground. He married pop star Victoria Beckham in 1999, which didn't sit well with his then United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
Beckham also played a polar role for England during a major part of his career where he had 115 appearances. His free-kick against Columbia in the 1998 World Cup held in France remains one of his top goals to date.
Beckham announced his retirement from professional football last week bringing down curtains on a glorious 20 year career.
PSG's Ligue 1 victory meant that Beckham became the only player to have won major championships with every club he's been a part of.
After a succesful five-year career at Galaxy, Beckham made a move to French side Paris Saint-Germain in 2012 where he would play just one season.
Playing for United, Beckham won the Premier League title six times, the FA Cup twice, and the UEFA Champions League in 1999.
Beckham's career-defining moment came in a match against Wimbledon when he hit the back of the net from behind the halfway line in 1996. This was when the star was well and truly born.
A 17-year-old David Beckham debuted for Manchester United in 1993. A year later, Beckham made his UEFA Champions League debut, where he got on the scoresheet in a 4-0 victory against Galatasaray at home.
